this checklist is made for you to make sure you feel ready for a new tattoo! it’s not made to make a decision for you, but merely to encourage you to have an honest conversation with yourself - if some statements don’t relate to you, just skip them - they’re simply there to make sure that you’ve thought about everything before you book in your session. you can download it here. xx

i usually draw up the design before the sessions and discuss the final details of your tattoo on the day of your session.

of course! i offer FREE 15 minute consultations that you can book here. if you wish to have a consultation where we draw and chat it charged by my hourly rate the hour which is 350 aud.

if you are having a back/ sternum/stomach tattoo, a button up shirt is always a good idea to make the area accessible while keeping you covered. if you’re getting a hip/ thigh tattoo, tie up bikini bottoms and a long skirt/ dress are perfect.

please don’t wear white as i cannot guarantee that there won’t get any ink/ stencil/ primer on your clothes!

yes, 50% of the total price is asked when booking to secure your spot. this is non-refundable regardless reason.

I usually draw up the design and send it to you before the session so you have time to feel the design and come up with any changes you might have. we then go over the design together on the day of the session.

✤ eat beforehand

make sure to eat a decent meal before your appointment and bring snacks with you.

✤ get a good night sleep

make sure to get a good nights sleep the night before and avoid alcohol.

✤ health check

if you are currently taking any medication or have any health issues it's always a good idea to check with your doctor that it's safe to get tattooed before booking an appointment.

✤ bring entertainment

you might feel like zoning out during your session so feel free to bring a book, headphones, ipad etc.

✤ bring snacks and sugary drinks

this is not the time for dieting!

✤ dress accordingly

this means that i always tailor the session according to your needs, both when booking in the session and intuitively during the session. if you’re nervous, i’ll make sure to book in extra time. there will always be time for a cup of tea and i will never rush the sessions nor push you into getting a design you unsure of. neither will i decide the placement of your tattoos. my most important goal is to make you feel seen and heard during the whole process so choose what feels right!

✤ breaks

breaks are included in your session, so if you need a few minutes to get something to drink, go to the bathroom etc., you’re welcome to do so.

✤ pain

the pain varies from person to person as well as the location of the tattoo. if you’re prone to low pain tolerance, please let me know prior to booking, so i can allocate more time.

this aftercare guide will also be given to you on the day of your session, but it’s always nice to have it in case you loose it. you can download it here. xx

this means that all products i use from start to finish, including soap, stencil paper, ink and aftercare products don’t contain animal products nor have they been tested on animals. this way, everybody can feel safe getting a tattoo.

please wear comfortable clothing that gives access to the desired tattoo area i.e bikini top for ribs, backwards hoodie for back pieces. make sure to drink and eat plenty before your session. drinks such as tea, soda and coffee is on the house for your whole session.

of course! as long as they respect the other clients and artist in the studio, and don’t disturb my work flow, they can come along.

it’s important to me that you feel safe during the whole process, so ask me all the questions you might have and let me know if you feel sick or anything else.

yes, when you book in a physical tattoo session with me, the tattoos are permanent.

yes! i'd be more than happy to help you design your tattoo. draw a rough sketch or send me reference photos of designs you like and what parts of each of them you like, so we can create a design just for you.

getting a tattoo can be a big decision, so many people ask if i can send them a design and they’ll figure out if they like it or not. as i spend a lot of time and effort in the designs i create, so i never send a design before a deposit has been paid. i usually draw up the design and send it to you before the session so you have time to feel the design and come up with any changes you might have. we then go over the design together on the day of the session.

at prana tattoo studio, we pride ourselves in being a welcoming space where everyone can relax and enjoy their tattoo session!

you are more than welcome to bring your child, but make sure you have another adult with you who can keep them entertained at all times during your session. make sure to bring any toys they can play with, BUT please make sure it’s quiet toys such as plushies and not anything that takes up space in the shop or can make sudden/loud noises (this is very disturbing for both tattoo artists and client, and if anyone in the studio gets startled, mistakes can be made).

remember, this is YOUR time to relax, so you need to be able to be fully present xx

yes! we can book you in right after another, so you have the experience together. simply let me know upon booking, so i can accommodate your wish.

i have a hygiene certificate approved by the danish safety technology authority where i am also registered in their system. in australia i have a licence approved by the NSW Police Force. needles, ink, gloves and everything for treatment are of disposable material. The equipment is wrapped in plastic to avoid cross-infections and all remedies are thrown away after treatment. all equipment and materials are approved by the danish safety technology authority.

I use Panthera black gold which is a REACH-compliant, vegan-friendly, and preservative-free black tattoo ink made in Italy using natural, fruit-derived ingredients.

This is dependant on the individual, but when following our recommended aftercare a tattoo can take between 10 to 14 days to heal.

However it is important to note a tattoo can take a month or more to completely settle in. (This means no sun, surf, gym, swim, sauna for the time being.)

This is assessed on a case by case basis. Determining factors are based on the original design, colour, healing and other contributing factors, so always feel free to send me an enquiry. to make sure we don’t damage the skin any further, it’s decided upon assessment. For these pieces the private consultation will assess:

* The age of the scar. The scar needs to be completely healed and settled before the session.


* The scar tissue. Eg. Normal, Keloid, Hypertrophic, Pitted/ Sunken, Contractured.


* Background history. Personal, Medical etc.


I’m are very conscious that these are extremely personal and private matters, and we strive to be sensitive, understanding and confidential with all of my clients shared information.

Our studio is a nonjudgmental safe haven and we will address each and every case with empathy and compassion. I hope to be able to create new and beautiful memories with you, that can celebrate your individual achievements and be a memento of what you have overcome.

to ensure that there is enough allocated time in appointments, i will estimate the quoted price to allow flexibility depending on the individual tattoo and the information you’ve provided, and to ensure that we’ve got time for changing the design during corrospondance, breaks, grounding etc.. i always draw the design before the session and send to you, so that when you arrive, you know exactly what you’re getting. if however we end up spending more time than expected during the session due to for example indecisiveness of placement, motive/design etc, the price is subject to change.

Remember, your tattoo also reflects the hours of work put into the design and labour whereas your deposit secures the time and ongoing correspondence.

for offers such as discount given through messages, the offer is available for 24 hrs - after that, the initial price will be applied.

The deposit is sent as a bank transfer and cash only on the day of the session when paying the remaining amount.
